Our Mission

Since our doors opened in 2013, our mission has been clear - we give all of our profits to the Brandon's Goal Foundation, which helps fund leading-edge childhood cancer research, support hospice care programs, and provide direct assistance to children with cancer and their families.

Every treasure you buy, every treasure you donate, and every time you spread the word about our store helps children who are battling against cancer.

Our Story

In 2010, the Brandon's Goal Foundation was created in honor of Brandon Brauns by his mother, Kris Forth. Brandon was a brave warrior who fought hard against a rare form of brain cancer from age 4 to 11. Brandon's goal was to beat cancer and help other kids do the same. In its first few years, the Foundation raised funds through the traditional means of hosting events and giving campaigns. They funded incredible breakthrough research at the Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center in Seattle, and provided financial assistance to several families. However, Kris wanted to find a more consistent and active way to raise money daily for the cause.

Remembering how Brandon loved to thrift shop, Kris had the idea to start a non-profit thrift store. Collaborating with friends and family, and through sheer determination, Kris started "Finding Treasures for a cure" in a small retail space in 2013.

Within months, the store was thriving, attracting customers and donors at an incredible rate. The store was relocated to a larger space, and the team went from 1 founder to a small group of employees. The scope of the store grew to include antiques, collectibles, and estate sales.

Today we are proud to offer an incredible, constantly fresh inventory of treasures just waiting to be found. Come in, say hi and shop, or donate your treasures and get a tax donation receipt. Like us on Facebook and be part of our mission of raising awareness and funds.

If you're not in Washington, you can still show your support by Liking us on Facebook and participating in our online auctions.

“I want to live the rest of my life helping kids with cancer. It is my honor and responsibility to carry on my son’s legacy and goal. These efforts allow me to take my experience with my son and help others facing the same deadly disease. More importantly, my job will be to talk about my son every day. He was my best friend, my true inspiration and the greatest person I ever knew.”
